Quartzite

Quartzite is a hard Metamorphic Rock which originated as sandstone. It is a dense and strong stone which on the Mohs scale
of hardness ranks at about 8. Quartzite has a high compressive strength and abrasion resistance and low liquid absorption rate.. It
will not react or etch with most acids. As with all natural stones, sealing is recommended, 1-2 times a year.
The use of quartzite is diverse because of its strength and durability. Popular stone applications include kitchen countertops, vanity
countertops, fireplace surrounds, flooring, interior cladding, and exterior cladding.
